Default Poker Wiki - check it out!

Hello everyone,

If you haven't already seen it be sure to check out the Poker Wiki.

poker wiki

If you haven't been there in awhile, go and see how much it has grown.

The Beginners FAQ section is really getting quite extensive (and will be amazing to answer those repetive questions with a link). Also the preflop section on LHE and the Casino sections have grown alot.

If you are wondering why do we need a Wiki for poker, check this out:

why a poker wiki?

Please feel free to add to sections that are incomplete or not yet started (e.g., information on your local card rooms or strategy articles).

Finally, a big thanks to AKQJ10 for all his great work on this project so far.

Cheers,
the Real Macoy

good question.

IMO wikipedia is a good starting point for basic, general information (e.g., definitions, history, rules, etc.). Whereas a Wiki city can become much more complex and multifaceted as the community involved grows. Which one you visit would depend on the depth of information you are seeking.

sorry if it was recently mentioned, just hoping to get more people adding information (particularly veteran posters/experienced players like yourself).

cheers,
the Real Macoy

ps. i am not an expert on either, just a fan of the wiki "community information" concept
