Who makes this laydown?
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) converter
MP2 ($53.45) MP3 ($45.5) CO ($43.33) Button ($39.9) SB ($55.3) BB ($51.15) UTG ($64.3) UTG+1 ($34.75) Hero ($49.25) MP1 ($49.55) Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $0.5. SB posts a blind of $0.25. <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls $0.50, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $3</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP2 calls $3, <font color="#666666">5 folds</font>, UTG+1 calls $2.50. Flop: ($10.25) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 bets $1</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $9</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises to $17</font>, UTG+1 calls $16, Hero...? No stats on either guy, but even if I had them... To generalize the question: should I be laying down overpairs (and AK when it hits for that matter), to raises like this? I had to call $8 more, $53.25 was in the pot already. Flush draw changes things a lot, I think. Who says fold, who says call, who says jam? |

Re: Who makes this laydown?
man, these people play so dumb.
UTG+1 is pot committed and smooth-calls MP2's raise. i think he has a flush draw. MP2 could have a set, but...i don't know...he made a min-raise, which could also be JT. This is probably a fold since people at this level play their cards more often than not. I'd probably push though and make running K's for quads...cause I'm good at that. |

Re: Who makes this laydown?
I fold it. Too many times you will be looking at a set of 10s. That's the best hand that I could be putting him on, especially considering the avg stack of only $50. and the first person to enter the pot seems to me like he is on a flush draw as well.

Re: Who makes this laydown?
Given the action, I think folding is probably the best option... especially since you dont have the K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] so you may only be drawing to 1 out if you're up against the dreaded set/flush draw combo.

Without the cold-caller, push here. With the cold-caller, call flop raise, get all-in on a non-club turn, get out if the turn is a club. |
