Default Where to play 5/10 or 10/20 stud/8 online?

I used to play stud/8 on Empire/Party before the split. I've been concentrating on other games for awhile, but am starting to look for stud/8 games again.

Logging on to Party today, they had nothing above 2/4 running. So, does any site have regularly running red chip games?

The 10-20 usually runs during peak times, but I've never really found it to be a good game.

you gotta sack up and play the stars 30, imo. Just because it tends to have retarded play, unlike your stated options. It sucks

Thanks for the confirmation. That's kind of what it looked like to me.

Tangentally, anyone know why triple draw and stud/8 both like to jump from 10/20 to 30/60 online? Does the small player base keep sites from spreading anything in between?

As others have said, the party game runs durring peak hours, but it always has a wait. It's weird, there will be two full tables with long lists and no one starting a third, so you may be able to just start a third table (you like HU/SH, so it should be fun.)

Stars 30/60 looks like it runs a lot, the 10/20 much less. I played 5 hours at a full table there one night (10/20), then an hour or two HU with people dropping buy to lose a buy in (of $200) occasionally. I decided I really like HU/SH stud 8, but I am being uber cautious with my roll right now so I am not sure how often I will play the 10/20 until I get a few hundred BB built up on starts. (The 30/60 is probably months away for me, but I really want to get there since there are usually 30/60 tables running).

UB has a 5/10 game going occasionally. It's pretty weak I think, I've only played in it a couple of times though. A lot of the 3/6 players play in it, and the 3/6 game is uber weak. I'm really just learning 7/8b and I feel I have a huge advantage in the 3/6 game on UB.

Does full tilt offer stud/8? I'll probably be checking that out pretty soon since my UB rakeback account got killed :/..

While it looks like some of the regualars are complete idiots at the game, I assure you most of them are not. The game plays really strange, that is different from any other stud8 game you'll play, lots of people playing margianl hands, but they are good at bc of the way they play. Its kind of hard to explain unless you've played it. The game is definitely beatable by all means, and of course you will on occasion find people in there playing who really don't know what they are doing. If the avg pot is bellow 400 though its probably not that good of a game. I used to look for something aroud 450 or so before I would sit. Good luck if you try it and let me know how it goes.

Full Tilt spreads stud/8, but games are pretty sparse. On the up side, the structure is really nice.

Yeah, the structure of the 10/20 and 5/10 makes them not that great. I wish Party would raise the antes or Stars would offer 15/30 tables. (Not that I yet have the roll for a 15/30 game.) If enough of us asked, do you think Stars might offer it?
