Default Holy Crap, offer for buying an APT was accepted

The GF and I got our offer accepted, now Im freaked out.

Obviously, its the first time for both of us. Its a coop in NYC and from the moment it was accepted (yesterday) it has been like controlled chaos. Call here, fax there, email them, now fax again, GO GO GO GO!

Any words of wisdom? Also, is it normal to feel like youre doomed?

the only reason you should be freaked out is you bought a place with your GF....that can only end in disaster.

It's really crazy...I just had an offer accepted on a house in Bergen County (NJ). Feel like my whole life right now revolves around this deal.

What kind of legal documents did you have drawn up wrt ownership? She's not even your fiance. Aren't issues like that going to get sticky when you guys go through the nasty breakup?

2 BDRM on 145th between St Nicholas and Edgecombe (Sugar Hill section of Harlem). It is big (for NYC @ the price), about 1300 square feet. Corner of the bldg, 8th story, and its on a hill so Living room has wide open view of YANKEE STADIUM (w00t). Bedrooms view is south, so you can see the whole city, pretty cool. Basically, the realtors didnt market it properly and they had to drop the price and we figured we got it for about 20,000 below market.

Subway ACBD, is right on the corner. 4 new condos being built within blocks, a 24 hr doorman, and a parking garage (4.23 ALL DAY! or monthly is like 150) in the building.

One thing, Needs major work but we have a contractor and a resotration painter in our respective families, so a total reno will be CHEAP (basically the materials and small fee for labor). Dont need to move in ASAP so Its cool.

All joking aside, her parents are very old, and very traditional, so city hall is probably in our future pretty soon. The accepted offer just sped up the timetable.
