Default Am I gving Pre-Flop Early Position Raises too much Respect?

This hand is something similar to something i've encountered as of late. when i'm in the 2nd or third position, i'm folding some high hands to early position raises. questions is, how much respect do you give while you in early -middle to raises behind you. here's the example hand.

Cryptologic 1.00/2.00 Hold'em (10 handed) link

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG raises, 4 folds, CO calls, 3 folds.

Flop: (5.50 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets, CO calls.

Turn: (3.75 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets, CO calls.

River: (5.75 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets, CO calls.

Final Pot: 7.75 BB.

No way I call in UTG+1 against EP raise unless he is 20% PFR.

My default is to fold KQo if there's an EP (or even MP) raise in front of me. I do the same with AJo.

Very, very standard fold. I also fold AJ there, and against passive opponents will fold AQ.

Like others, I default fold here, but I also pay attention to the hand -- especially on a showdown to see what my opponent has, so I have a sense of his raising standards. Sometimes people raise with real garbage -- in which case, I may even three-bet KQ to isolate.

It's understandable to be frustrated if you fold a hand and find that the flop would have hit you if you stayed. However, it's important not to be oriented towards short-term outcomes and think instead whether the decision itself was correct.
