Default Getting crushed.

15-30 at the Commerce.

Dealt K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in the SB. Late position limps, button raises, I 3-bet, call, call.

I felt LP had a legitimate hand, button was pretty loose.

Flop:

6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I lead out. Late position calls, button raises, I 3-bet again, call, fold.

Heads up at this point. At this point LP came off as a pretty solid player. I have him on a medium pocket pair or a flush draw, outside chance of a straight draw.

Turn:

6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Bet. LP raises. I re-raise, he re-raises?!?! I call.

River:

8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Check call.

LP turns over 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Ouch. So my read on LP was *off*

Everything you did after preflop pretty much sucked.

What would you have done differently? It's hard to put your opponent on a hand that includes a 6. 3-betting the turn was the correct play. The only legitimate hand that you can put him on that beats you is AA. Once the turn was capped by villain, I'd have been tempted to slow down at the river, just as the OP did...but would have probably bet out and called a raise.
