[/ QUOTE ] i know this is a moot point now b/c dorne came through in the clutch, but why didn't jose hernandez pinch hit for broussard in the 8th inning against marte? broussard blows against lefties. hernandez is pretty good. they both play first base. and what about belliard?? is he injured or something, since vaquez started? not that i can complain right now, but sometimes i wonder about the wedgemeister...

Belliard missed his 4th straight game last night due to an abdominal pull. Gammons said on Baseball Tonight he was told he would be back in the line-up tonight or tomorrow.
Broussard is better defensively than Hernandez, so he did not get pinch hit for, IMO. KJS

[/ QUOTE ] yeah a total meltdown would help us but theyre not at that point yet. right now the yankees are 3 games behind them, if it gets to 2 I will start thinking about that. if it gets to 2 then all we have to do is when games and we'll catch up on someone. but right now I'm rooting for the white sox. oh yeah, and on yahoo it says the red sox magic number is 13? they dont have a magic number, thats only to ensure a tie.
