folded to me in the sb. No read on BB this is his first hand. no stats

I open raise Ad4h. BB 3 bets. I call.

Flop: Kd Kc Tc

Whats my line?

What about check-call/bet? Looks suspicious, gives us good fold equity, only raising us with the K.

Check-call the flop. Your flop call will scare him into checking a lot of turns because he will fear a turn CR if he doesn't hold a King. Check-fold the turn unimproved.

I don't know the best line, but I think that this situation is so common that we really should know what to do. I normally check fold...

I am still not good enough to vary my play for the sake of variation, image, and deception, but I think I am getting to the point where I need to be learning this. I feel like up until this point, the majority of my opponents don't notice what is going on anyway, so I would rather take the "best" line (the line that if this were the only hand ever played, that move would have the highest EV). I probably am underestimating my opponents now however, and so let the tripplets commence...

I think your missing the point. It doesn't matter if your opponents know, but if you give them so much folding equity, its always correct for them to bet into you on any flop. Its a maths thing.

I don't get what you are saying here. If our opponent never notices anything we do, then sticking to a single best line is fine.

I can understand how if our opponent starts to notice things, then sometimes you have to take a slight EV hit and make some loose peels, or raises, solely to make your opponent bet less often than it would be correct for him to in the future.

I agree.

I think spicy is saying that in the we decide the double it check/bet of {90,10}, and the triplet is (fold, call, raise) {70,5,25}.

Then while he is learning, he will just take the majority path, check/fold.
