[ QUOTE ]
It seems people here back my long held feeling that players from the UK are for the most part absolutely terrible, some of the worst I have seen, any theories on why this is?

[/ QUOTE ]

Three reasons

1) Most people in the UK who get into poker do so through a sports bookmakers website and so have a gambling mentality to start with.

2) The UK as two satelite channels showing poker 12+ hours a day and another 5+ channels showing some poker 5+ times a week. Most of this is edited final table or single table shoot out NL holdem. So to the casual player, poker is all about big bluffs and the all-in move.

3) Finally theres the mental thing that the Brits in general feel uncormfortable about winning, we as nation prefer the valiant loser over the brash winner.
