Re: Got my ear chewed out on this hand, but I think it was an okay cal
easy call on the flop, if he is not likely to checkraise you with a 6. you are getting 9 to 1 from the pot and you are a 7 to 1 dog on your 6 outer. easy call, it's a big mistake not to call. just don't tell coach that .

[ QUOTE ]
I'm going to say this was a bad call b/c of the way you played the rest of the hand. Your getting almost even money on this call w/9.5-1 [/ QUOTE ] he is getting better than even money on his call in immediate odds only, since he's a 7 to 1 dog to hit. calling is a +EV play here. --turnipmonster |

Re: Got my ear chewed out on this hand, but I think it was an okay cal
I get that part of it. I was just saying that if he believes he's up against trips, 9.5-1 isn't enough to call so he should fold. If he believes hes up against a 9x, he should be raising the turn or river b/c he's in the lead.

Re: Got my ear chewed out on this hand, but I think it was an okay cal
My mistake on this hand is clearly in how I played it after the turn, but my original question was in regards to the flop call of the rasie. As someone said earlier, if I am going to play it like he had trip 6s, I might as well throw the hand away.
