I'm figuring the turn I'm good with top 2 pair vs this guy and then he 4 bets me. On the river would it be wise to call or keep raising assuming he has 2 pair? He are HU? Is the betting thats the problem? When I am ahead I win 1 exta, when behing lose 2 extra? |

Re: KQ on the turn vs a raise
yea I kinda figured. Thats what happens when you play 4 tables at once. You miss things, then notice after the fact.

Re: KQ on the turn vs a raise
Hmm. Well . . .
K8 = 6 combos K3 = 6 combos Q8 = 6 combos Q3 = 6 combos 83 = 9 combos AA = 6 combos KQ = 4 combos KK = 1 combo QQ = 1 combo 88 = 3 combos 33 = 3 combos This looks very favorable. I'll admit that after I happily 3-bet SB's turn checkraise, I'd start getting scared when, unfazed, SB fired back with a cap. So I'd probably just call on the river too. Part of the reason I'd be scared is that, for lots of bad players, a turn checkraise is their way of saying, "I've either got a monster or I'm pretending that I do." So, once SB caps, I'm thinking, okay, it really is a monster. But what I don't know is what he considers a monster here. Raising the river might be best. I'm not sure. If SB's not on an extended bluff, he loves his hand, but it's entirely possible you have him beat anyway. |

Re: KQ on the turn vs a raise
39:8 on that he has a had that crushes my top two. Next time I'll reraise on the river. Simple math. about 80% of the time I earn an extra bet. Only 20% I lose an extra bet. Now I know. Always raise the river on top 2 and frown if he reraises and shows a pair of 33s.

Hi winky,
[ QUOTE ] BB is fish that likes to bet any pair he makes on the flop with 1-2 players in the pot. [/ QUOTE ] How on earth does that make him a fish??? Good luck, einbert |
