I have recieved an email from the gaming club support team and i appreciate that security is of course of the utmost importance, but their current method of obtainting it does not encorage faith in the gaming room poker club, especially for a new user at the site, maybe if this became an industry standard it would become more acceptable, but as you are aware other sites do not require this, maybe they should, but it certainly should not take 3 weeks to verify,so far i have faxed copies of my passport/drivers licence/Phone bill/Visa statment to two different fax no. and sent scans of same to their support email address, my bank did not require this much information when i got a loan for my car (valued 10k)and yet i still have yet another document to send to the site in order to facilitate a 640dollar cashout.
I will update this forum with any devolopments.

i understand your frustration, i really do. however, prima is known for being very strict, which i personally think is great. however, of all the people complaining about having to send stuff, i have never heard of documents being rejected like this. this is not common, even for prima.

i'm certain that everything will work out if you are on the up and up. people complain about document requests all the time, but once they send them, the problem is always solved. something weird is happening here and i am sure they will explain to you privately why you have more hoops to jump through than most.

fwiw, i play all of the bellerock casinos and once i sent the documents cashouts now take exactly 24 hours, not a minute longer.

Their support team is very quick to reply to emails, but trying to get a straight reply to any question is very difficult.I am not trying to pursuade anybody in any direction as to whether or not thay should play at the gaming club, i myself would probably continue to play at the gaming club as i found the games to be a little soft, and their software is very good, but i asked the question why was my initial documentation rejected? and was given the generic answer to the effect that, to explain the reason why they were rejected might give away some detail of their security procedures, this may of course be a completly reasonable answer but it does not give me any more confidance in the site, and as this was my first transaction(cashout) as a new user im sure you can understand my concerns, and as you know first impressions last longest.I also reconize that the gaming club did respond quickly to my initial posting on this forum. I will update the forum with any developments.
ps.any replys are appreciated

Some poker rooms believe that because you are their customer they have the right to put you through the wringer when you try to cash-out.

They call this abuse 'protecting your interest'.

It is obviously in your interest to be denied your money for an extended period of time.

It is obviously in your interest that you send all your personal and financial information in an unsecure fashion over the internet to anonymous virtual company.

You can rely on internet poker rooms to look after your interests. You may have noticed that you can deposit, and lose, thousands of dollars each week with only credit card details. None of this other personal identification is necessary until you first cash out. This is another example of internet poker rooms looking after your interests not their own.

Some posters appear to relish the fact that internet casinos apply a fort knox approach to your withdrawls and a lassie-faire attitude to deposits.

Some posters always assume that the player is at fault when a poker-room with-holds their funds.

The truth is there are poker rooms who have un-necessary, redundant and invasive requirements before you can cash-out.

If they really were looking after your interests your money would have been winging it's way to you, even after all these 'checks', within a week max.

Remember the customer comes first!

I have had similar problem with WH. It took over two months to get my money. I can't tell you exactly how long as I have hypnotised myself to try and forget the whole situation.

It was the worst example of customer service I have ever encountered, online or in the real world. And for that pleasure I paid about $2,000 in rake.

I suspect that now your case has been picked up by a Gaming Club bod on this forum you should see some result relatively quickly.

Until then just grimace and bear it.

Always be folding

Default A suggestion

I don't mind TGC requesting this type of information if it will keep fraud (which we players pay for one way or another) down, but I do think it could be implemented much better and should be made apparent before it's an issue. There's no reason a player should be surprised with these requests, let alone having their funds frozen in limbo, costing them potentially more money, while they wait.

What I'd like to see is something like this...

New player signs up, confirms email, etc. When the first real money deposit is being made (before completion), the player should THEN be made aware that these documents *may* be requested when cashing out. Above and beyond, said player should be directed to a page explaining exactly what documents may be required, approved methods (ie. faxed, scanned, notarized, etc), and estimated time frames from beginning to completion. In addition, players could submit these documents in advance of their withdraw to further expedite things.

I enjoy playing on TGC and a few other Prima sites occasionally, but it's just not worth the added hassle to place large amounts of money on their network. I'll deposit a few hundred for a session to clear a bonus or see how the games are running and cash out a few days later. There's just no way I'm going to keep a signifigant portion of my roll, or even enough to play most of the games, when there's any doubt about the accessibility of my money when *I* want it.

Just my .02

Remember, they are one poker room out of many. If you don't like their practices, don't play there. That's the best way to show a business that you don't like what they do. If you're smart enough to find this forum you can use the search function before depositing anywhere and see if you agree to their practices.

Just an update to this for you Oxsin,

You would have received a personal call and email by now from one of our senior customer care personnel. Your documentation was approved, your withdrawal processed and we've thrown in a little something extra for you in your account as well. You can now also earn up to $300 in bonus as opposed to $200 previously.

Thanks for being patient whilst awaiting a resolution and for your cooperation in getting us all the right information. You shouldn't have any difficulties when making a withdrawal from now on.

TGCguy-

I'm ready to make a deposit soon even though i really don't want to deal with all this crap..My question is will you reimburse me in my bonus account for the price of a scanner (~$60) that i would need to join your website? I'm serious..all this hassle is ridiculous. Also, I don't have a passport at the moment..will a Social Security Card suffice?

A) Ever heard of Kinkos? Don't be rediculous. If you don't want to play there, don't play.
B) If you are bothered by this delay, then you are either not properly bankrolled, or are providing false documentation. I was disapointed when I learned Party's withdrawal requirements were so loose. Although I don't play at the Gaming Club yet, I'm sure I will in the future after what I have seen in the past few threads. Prima... here I come!
