Discrepancy between PT winnings and actual bankroll
So, I recently deposited into a new Party Poker account and loaded up Poker Tracker for the first time. I've run in the black over my first few sessions, but I've noticed a discrepancy between the net amount won according to Poker Tracker and the actual increase in my bankroll, with the Poker Tracker figure being slightly higher.
My guess was that the rake was accounting for this difference, although PT keeps some sort of rake statistic. So my question is two parts: what exactly is that rake figure representing, and what accounts for the discrepancy? |

Re: Discrepancy between PT winnings and actual bankroll
If you are disconnected for a second during a hand, PT doesn't get the HH. So if you won or lost money on that hand, PT won't reflect it. That's the reason my number isn't 100% accurate.

also if you leave a table before the hand is written then it won't be imported eithe.....same goes for sng's.

also for some reason Crash N burn's hand histories aren't saved. So if you play 2/4 that would also show the discrepancy.

Re: Discrepancy between PT winnings and actual bankroll
PT is actually a rock solid HH collection front end.
Years of testing and tweaking makes all the difference. Otherwise... It's a very clunky and dated piece of software. But it's universality and reliability... Would make it very hard for someone to compete at this point. And it can't correct for disconnections... Or otherwise incomplete Hand Histories... (Though there is a nice SNG HH correction function "Manual Entry")... In the long run... You'll find that the discrepancies you noted are small... And do not matter in the end. rm+ |
