Default Your favorite Vegas poker room for NL?

Yo. I'm going to be in Vegas on AFC/NFC Championship weekend (Jan 21-23). During past trips, I normally played 3/6 and 4/8 Limit HE at the Mirage.

This time around, I plan on playing a lot of NLHE. I'll probably limit the stakes to a $500 max buy-in game (2/5 blinds seem typical from what I've read).

For those that frequent NL ring games in Vegas, where are your favorite places to play? How about the softest NL game?

I'm actually staying at Bally's, and I hear they have a poker room, but that it's quite loud.

Thanks for any/all input

I played NL at Bally's earlier this year. It has a $200 max buy in with blinds at 1/2. They will run one or two table sof that and some low limit HE. The game was very beatable when I was there but probably not the softest I had played in while in Vegas. The room itself is on the floor in the middle of the casino and is basically seperated by a rope. It is loud and when I played a fossil of an old lady was chain smoking at a slot right behind me.
The Excalibur has a very soft $100 max buy in game and its room is nicer than Bally's in that it is seperate and has a big screen tv etc. It is still pretty scummy IMHO with gross chips and tables but not really a problem.
The Flamingo offers a game you may want to check out. $500 max buy in blinds of 2/5. It looked like a pretty good game when I was there playing limit.
For the nicest rooms and atmosphere you will have to go and play at the Mirage and Bellagio thought, again just my opinion.

The Excal NL$100 game is probably the softest, but you can catch some really good games at Aladdin as well (also NL$100), with better staff/atmosphere/chips/tables to boot. I didn't play in it, but the Mandalay Bay game (I think $200 buy in, blinds 2-4) has also been said to be worthwhile.

Luxor, however, just sucks. Not because of the game itself (1-1-2 blinds, $50 to buy in initially, another $50 after your first hand to make it $100 buy in if you want), but because of the lousy dealers, cramped room, bad service, and so on. As Al Capone Jr says, "just avoid it."

The aladdin has a room that spreads a 40-100 buy in nolimit and the games are extremely soft. they also have a 100-300 buy in but that never got going when i was there over thanksgiving.

the mandalay's room is very nice, and the time i played there the wait for the nl game wasn't bad. soft game.

the mirage's 2/5 nl is nice because of the high buy-in allowed. the palms' room is pretty small, but the game was very very soft. the best part is that the 2/5 nl game is in the "high stakes poker" room and is the biggest nl game they have. i felt like making sure i was still in vegas.

bellagio is obviously nice. the wait for the 2/5 nl isn't bad at all. best chairs. it's of course a VERY busy room though. probably the best dealers. of course you have to play at the mirage at least long enough to have swede deal to your table. that guy OWNS.

Thanks guys. I'll make a NL tour while I'm there -- Excalibur, Mandalay Bay, Aladdin, and Palms.

You are mistaken my friend. About a week ago they had a 10/25 blind no limit game. 500 min buy in with cash playing. Average was around 5k buy in on the table. Now that was a game to see. 7-10 handed all night.
