Default Empire VIP Club Progression Estimate

I was reading today's VIP thread and got curious about how long it takes to progress up VIP Club the ranks.

Assuming a new player signs up today and 4-Tables 4 hours a day on weekdays and 8 hours a day on weekends at a raked hands rate of 200 hands per hour (a little high), he would receive the following awards:

04/11/05 -- A NEW ON-LINE POKER ACCOUNT
12/24/05 -- VIP MEMBERSHIP
05/31/06 -- ROYAL FLUSH CLUB MEMBERSHIP
10/10/06 -- TV
09/04/07 -- LCD SCREEN
06/24/09 -- LAS VEGAS TRIP for 2

I think I got it right, according to what I found on the Empire VIP Points accumulation page.

They'll usually bump you up to 5k points after you accumulate your first 1k points or so.

After you reach 5k points you earn points at double the rate.

I have no idea why you started at 4/11/05....but anyway:

4/11 - new acct
5/11 - VIP membership (you get 1k points or so...and then send Empire an e-mail if they haven't already bumped you....you stand a good chance of getting bumped)

It looks like you're going for 800 hds/day weekdays (28 points doubled is 56) and 1600 hds/day weekends (40 points doubled to 80).
This is 300 points per week.
So this would be 34 weeks to get from 5k points to 15k points.

you have him going from VIP (5k) to Royal-flush (15k) in a little bit less than that it appears.

Also not sure if you factored in the extra 20% points accumulation you get once you reach 15k points.

Anyway...for raked-hands, yes...a realistic max is probably somewhere around the neighborhood of 2k points per month....and even this would be stretching it for most people.

I typically have been getting 1k points per month but I also bonus-chase at all the skins and sometimes at crypto, stars and elsewhere. In other words, empire is not my 'exclusive' home.

04/11/05 was a TYPO - should be 02/11/05.

I think you must accumulate x points in a time period of y days in order to get bumped automatically. I'm afraid to even take a guess at what the values of x and y are though. Maybe something like 500 points in one month.

correction -

56 points X 5 days = 280
80 points X 2 days = 160

So you're getting 440 points per week once you reach VIP status. So it will take 23 weeks to get from 5k points to 15k points. I'll round this up to 6 mths.

So...if you start today:

2/11/05 - open account
3/11/05 - bumped to 5k points (not a guarantee...but definitely possible)
9/1/05 - 15k points
3/1/06 - 25k points

Here's a way to check your current points on the web without having to go through the Empire software:

http://www.epvip.com/showPoints.htm?UID=[Your Empire Name]&EMAIL=[Your Empire email address]

Just replace [Your Empire Name] and [Your Empire email address] with your specific info!
