Raising -EV
I know there are alot of it depends. But a general question about betting/EV! You have the BR and are a winning player. I know a betting generally raises EV and/or chases limpers.
If you play your normal game but were to make one change. Minimally raising one BB pre flop, everytime/always, you entered the pot. (Normal game means some hands you may raise even more with eg.AA). Would this effectively mean that at a table of $2/4 when you enter the pot the game becomes more than a +$2.00/4.00 but not quite a $3/6 game in your pots? Would this be a way to compensate instead of moving up in limit? |

Re: Raising -EV
I kind of think maybe i might get what you are saying.
I think the problem with raising every time you want to see a flop is that you give people the right odds to call with lesser hands AND you give people a reason to re-raise. There is no general rule that raising every time is good. If this was the case, everyone would do it. Play it right and you'll be fine. Alos, good players (and even some bad players) will be able to pick up on your betting habbits. -G |
