is this for real? this must cost a fortune. why whould someone who can win lots of money by playing himself be coaching others?

Does anyone know how much they charge per hour?

I make more playing than I do coaching, but there's an old saying: you never know it til you teach it.

I like it, it helps my game and it's no-variance income. Who can argue?

If you look around the really good players have supplemental incomes. The big players have books deals, or affiliate with a casinos, have profitable web sites, whatever. We read time and time again that poker is a grind. So like any business there is +EV to diversify. Coaching and teaching are very typical to any business. If they charge $100 per hour thats 2.5 BB on a $15/30 table and they don't even move out of their house, and can do provide the service during their off hours. Seams like a natural thing to do to me.
