Default George Lopez

Usually even when I don't personally find a comedian funny, I can see how they would be funny to certain other groups of people. But George Lopez, I just don't understand. He's touted as the greatest Latino comic, and is constantly on Comedy Central, so can Latino comedy really be that different than all other comedy?

What am I missing? It seems all he does is make weak, neutered jokes about stereotypes (usually about latinos being poor) while filling 60% of his stage time with funny faces and walking funny.

I don't find his show or comedy central stuff that funny, but I was listening to him on XM the other night and his dirtier material was pretty funny. Just my opinion.

Meg: "I want to watch the George Lopez Show"
Brian: "That show just perpetuates the stereotype that George Lopez is funny."

I first watched his show a long time ago. It was hilarious. I saw a newer episode and it sucked. Anybody remember the ep when he was trying to track down his dad? Was classic.
