I like Raymer and all (I hope he makes the final table and busts Matusow somewhere along the way), but I'm oulling for Phil Ivey to win it all.
Simply put, I think he's the best in the world and deserves the championship. If he makes the final table does he have a shot at the WSOP Player of the Year title, or does Allen Cunningham have that locked up? |

Ivey may well be the best in the world, but he doesn't deserve it. We are not back in 1972 when there is a vote for it. I wouldn't doubt a vote of the final 27 would give Ivey the win. Fortunately in 2005, you need to play for it. Greg didn't deserve it last year. No he just won it. And I would love for him to do it again this year. If Greg doesn't win, then I would like either Ivey or Matusow pull it off. But I would rather have a pro instead of a internet newbie. Ken |
