Default Is this line ok?

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, Hero raises, 2 folds, CO calls, 2 folds, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (8.50 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB bets, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls, CO calls.

Turn: (5.75 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB bets, Hero calls, CO folds.

River: (7.75 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 9.75 BB

When I'm behind to a queen I save bets. When not I get him to bluff off chips. But with the turn card completing a flush should I be looking to fold at any point in this hand?

I would raise the flop, check behind on the turn, and call the river, or bet if checked to again on the river. If 3 bet on the flop it gets trickier, and at that point you'll probably wish you had just called.

I think you have to raise the flop to protect your hand. This would be a good line if you had KK on an AA flop. Do you see why?

(Sorry, I always wanted to do that)

Yes, KK on an AA flop is not vulnerable to overcards as JJ is. If I raise and get 3 bet here, is it ok to just call down, or should I be looking to fold? At higher limit against trickier opponents I think I call down, but at lower levels I'm not sure.

If I get 3-bet, I probably cap the flop and fold to any further aggression on the turn, but that's just me.

By "further aggression" do you mean if villain leads the turn?

If villain checks, do you check-behind UI and get to showdown for < 2BBs?

Yeah, by further aggression, I'd fold to any bet or raise by our opponent. I'm not sure what line I like if he calls. With the double-pair river, I'd probably check behind because a possible pair of 3s just got counterfeit. On a safer river, I might lean towards betting again.

But again, that's just me. I'd be curious to hear what other people have to say.

Do you expect Villain to 3-bet a flush draw often enough for you to cap it? I think if I were 3-bet, I'd be prepared to call and c/f the turn..

I don't mind that either, but if you're going to stop after a 3-bet, you might as well fold it on the flop.

I guess it's worth calling if you think he'll 3-bet the flush on the flop and then check the turn when you call.
