when do you slow down here?
villian is a TAG
my table image is of a bigtime LAG (not far from the truth) I raise EMP A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], MP CC's, BB calls flop:A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I bet, MP raises, I call planning a check raise on the turn Turn: A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I check, MP bets, I raise, MP re-raises, I re-raise, etc, etc, etc...(no cap) |

Re: when do you slow down here?
I really want to play with no caps heads up. The only hand that beats you here is ak. Do you have any reads on mp besides that hes a tag. Would he just call your raise with ace king? Without really knowing how he plays id probably go quite a few bets here as theres a chance he has aj or j10 or something that you beat. How much money did you and him have in front of you?

Re: when do you slow down here?
With only one hand that can beat you, AK, I'm likely to put in quite a few bets before slowing down. Would villain just call AK? My initial thought if he's a TAG realizing that you're a LAG would be no. Aside from it being a standard 3-bet hand, I'd want to isolate the LAG from the rest of the table. But that's just me.
JT is a reasonable hand to see here, as would be AJ (unlikely with 3 aces accounted for already), KJ, KT. |

Re: when do you slow down here?
The only hand that beats you is AK, but if MP is a TAG he can't have AK or he would have 3 bet pre flop, particularly if he things you are a LAG.
If you are cofident MP thinks you are a LAG I would keep raising until I was all in. |

Re: when do you slow down here?
well, he's on the passive side for a TAG but I would expect him to RR with AK here. We both have over $100 infront of us (it's $1/2).

Re: when do you slow down here?
you also lose to KK and QQ- if he is a passive TAG, it is possible he's one of those "i'm not reraising because an Ace always falls"-types.
i have no idea for no cap, but it is a thought. |
