Am I supposed to raise this flop to protect my hand and find out where I am even though my kicker is medium?

What am I supposed to do on the turn when there's a donk bet?

i raise it up preflop, but given your limp

flop: yes
turn: dependent on UTG. against an unknown i typically raise.

I might raise/fold the turn ... it seems unlikely that the 4 could have helped the villian (doubtful he limped with K4, Q4 ... maybe he could have limped with 44). It seems way more likely that the villian just picked up a club draw and wants to pump the pot ... you might even get a hand like KJ to fold to 2 big bets (unlikely .. but possible). If we're 3-bet on the turn, I think we can safely release.

EDIT :

I'm not so sure about the safely release part anymore ...

Would UTG have bet the flop with 44? That makes 44 unlikely at the turn bet, and since we already think K4 and Q7 is out... 77 is unlikely. If he was trying to slowplay 777, he would've waited for Hero to bet the turn. I think we're looking at Q or K no kicker. A raise seems safe to isolate.

EDIT: Sorry, I thought UTG bet the flop, but it was BB. I still think 44 is unlikely. Most likely pumping pot for clubs, he maybe is like an A4 clubs or something.

Why a raise with KTs here?

It's not that strong a hand given UTG and UTG+1 limped. I think I'd rather play this hand against a lot of players unless the limps came from mid position.

Preflop looks good to me.

I totally agree with the flop raise.

I'd probably have raised the turn here, and called down to a 3-bet.

huh? when did party .50/1 become so tight that KTs is not a strong hand after two EP limpers?

Buy the button and maybe a free turn if we want it, punish EP limpers, and build a pot with a medium-strong hand. If everyone calls, that's okay, as our hand plays well multiway as well.
