Oh, and still drawing to it when you had already filled up is absolutely priceless.

There really should be a SSNL meeting at some point.

EDIT : Then I could brag about how tight I really am

Dude, it was a draw TO THE WHEEL. Just saying "I've got the wheel" is worth the risk of playing like this. I play it like villain every time.

And St. Deuce, I like New Glarus Spotted Cow. It's a local beer that is amazing. If you are ever in Wisconsin, we shall drink beer and play poker like all good men should.

spotted cow is good beer, but the women are the ugliest i've seen anywhere.

i would have guessed A4...

You know, since you mention this (although I guess this should probably be in B&M or something, not sure really where though) I've been meaning to ask if anyone lives in Melbourne and wants to make a casino run with me at some point. If someone living in Melbourne reads this, PM me.

Sorry for continuing the hijack, but:

I'd come to the casino with you if I lived within 15000km of Melbourne, TWP (ex-Australia, living in UK for my sins right now). I'm curious though: what are the poker options in Melbourne these days? I know the Sydney players have to put up with a small selection of limit games with an outrageous rake. Do you have a better selection?

If you were really sorry about the hijack, you could have PMed me. But fine, since you didn't, let's continue until we get yelled at. The only option that I know of is the Crown Casino which has a poor selection of limit games with an outrageous rake (but ridiculously good games, so that doesn't really matter). BR limitations keep me at the 4/8 game, but there is usually 6/12, 10/20 and sometimes 20/40 also. All AUD, of course. Apparently during large tournaments they spread NL cash games as well, but I have never seen them. They have SNG tourneys on Saturdays ranging from 35AUD to 200AUD I think, although the 200 could be wrong.

Absolutely, I could have PM'd you, but given that other thread I thought you might get the wrong idea.

Thanks for the info -- that actually sounds better than I would have imagined. It's certainly better than the casino options I have here in the north of England.

How bad is the terrible rake? More than $5 off the table per hand in the 4/8 game for example?

Cheers,
--JTR.
