Chicago Area Poker Rooms - Help
I'll be in the Chicago area for business next week. I'd appreciate any suggestions on the best card rooms in the area. I'll likely be playing a 4-8 or 5-10 HE game if that matters. Thanks for the help!

Trump would be a nice room for you. If I were you, I'd move up to the 6-12 game here. It's eligible for the bad beat and you can create some nice pots with the kill.

Re: Chicago Area Poker Rooms - Help
I agree Trump & Resorts are both good. Resorts has a shuttle bus around 31st and the Ryan near White Sox park. The Chicagoland Poker Championship at Resorts starts August 1st and runs for two weeks. Good Luck!

Re: Chicago Area Poker Rooms - Help
IMO Resorts would be better than Trump, but mainly due to the more competent dealers and non-scummy chips.

I think it's generally agreed that Trump is more spacious and feels a bit "cleaner" or "brighter." Also, I think Troy's comments about the dealers and especially the chips are reasonably well agreed upon as well. As casually as I play the Chicago card rooms (maybe once every 3 weeks, on average), I've recognized several people who play both places. I'll probably be playing some $5/$10 or $10/$20 at Resorts this afternoon. I'll let out a "sup bro" if I see anything +EV. |

Have you seen the calander and tourneys structures. these tourneys are all jokes. I might go for cash games but not the tourneys.
