game is too loose
there is a low limit game at pacific that is very juicy
the ante is relatively huge $1 in a 2/4 game every hand it seems there are 5 or more people at 7th st..they seem to chase anything(or even nothing) i have gotten "premium hands" cracked time after time..aa, kk, qq by the time i know im beat its too late...6th or seventh st what advice can u give as far as starting hand requirements or general advice. does the big ante make it a game not worth playing even though its juicy?..i seem to do better in a tight game with a low ante...even though my opponents are tougher..but i am determined to beat these loose players please help(and back off of MY action...lol) |

Re: game is too loose
I have this problem too at the 1/2 and 2/4 at PS....sooooo frustrating when these idiots catch random crap and then think they know how to play when your K's up get beat by some trip 4's on the river. I dont think there is any solution except play at higher stakes. Unfortunately, as my name suggests, I am too poor for that!

Re: game is too loose
In theory such games are beatable but the variance is so high and the hands/hour so low that I personally regard them as a waste of time for the serious player.

Re: game is too loose
I replied in internet section also.
A few suggestions, the 2-4 and 3-6 both have the same ante of 1$ at pacific so 3-6 is the game u want to play. I don't play much stud hi at pacific only stud8 but im seen as a solid player and my 3rd-4th street raises with big pairs to isolate the retards does wonders. They call too much they chase too much they pay you off too much and u will suffer bad beats but its the best stud online. They will notice a good player so i think as you're table image improves u will win more often with your big pairs. |

Re: game is too loose
The game is too loose because the structure dictates it be loose. Perhaps you could get some input from Mason on this, but it seems to me that structure shifts the balance too far towards luck.

Re: game is too loose
i fear this solution...the one thing i keep telling myself is i am paying one dollar to see three cards, and these goofballs are paying 2 or more to see 4 cards. I feel like this gives me a big edge.
I will see 4th st alot more often than i would in a "better" structured game but still i refuse to chase crap. |
