What is MTH? Also what other software do you guys run when you are multitabling? ie. pokertracker, playerview, ... or some other things? I am new to this, I just started, and I don't even have any of those software programs yet. [/ QUOTE ] You seem polite enough to me. Check out MTH here: MTH Thread |

Re: techniques for multitabling effectively
A heads up display program like Poker Ace HUD helps as much as anything. Aids your decisions and in terms of looking up hand histories, his program will automatically display showdown hands that aren't shown.

Re: techniques for multitabling effectively
In my experience, multi-tabling is all about practice. When I first came to 2+2 and started to read posts from all these guys playing 4, 6, 8, or even more tables, I thought I could just jump right into that too. I got Poker Tracker and PlayerView and jumped right in. I quickly was overwhelmed and took a beating. The limited poker skills I had were wasted because I was too busy trying to keep up with each table.
I finally gave up and went back to 1 table and slowly worked my way back up as my game got better and I got more comfortable. Now I'm playing 3 tables easily and I'm about to add a fourth. So my advice is to slowly work your way up starting at 2 tables. |

Is there a way to turn off some sounds and not others? [/ QUOTE ] This is a must, IMO. C:\Program Files\EmpirePoker (substitute party skin as needed) this will show you all of the files used by the client. Play the .wav files and figure out which ones you need and ones you don't. Delete the uneeded ones (all the chip and dealing noises are useless.) If other sounds are needed but annoying (reminder comes to mind) then search the web for replacement sounds. Once you have found a preferable .wav file, change its name to match ther file you want to replace and copy it to C:\Program Files\EmpirePoker. Presto! P.s. I recommend Homer simpson screaming as a replacement for reminder.wav |

P.s. I recommend Homer simpson screaming as a replacement for reminder.wav [/ QUOTE ] I thought the idea was to make it LESS annoying. |

Turn off characters. Turn off celebrations, get a table mod, one that has only the table, no chairs, no ppl, just a box with a name.

Re: techniques for multitabling effectively
I like 'Push The Freaking Button' (google 'PTFB') to automate the 'buy in' pop up, the 'join wait list' pop up and the 'auto post blind' pop up on party. It does make your mouse pointer more laggy but I prefer it to hitting all those pop ups.
If you do get it get version 2.4.0.0 the next version was changed and didn't work with pop ups under pop ups. Always be folding |
