Default 10/20 Aggression #2 - preflop

10/20 6-max (6-handed)

Hero is Cutoff with AXo.

<Total_Stranger> raises and <Small_Sample_Size_TAG> 3-bets. How big does X need to be for you to cap this? Is coldcalling ever an option?

I usually cap AQo here and fold AJo here.

I'd cap with AK and might also with AQo. I fold everything else.

I really don't understand the advantage of cold-calling any Ax here.

AK

a tight pre-flop guy 3 betting means AQ isnt enjoying much if any equity edge - i might cap AQ pre-flop if for example i thought i might be isolating the isolator

there is too much post flop advantage to capping with position so i dont think i could bring myself to cold call

I think AK is the minimum unless it is clear that TAG 3 bettor is isolating. If the initial raiser is also a TAG it might be best to only cap if X=Ace. I am sure that there will be people screaming weak tight blah blah blah but AKo will not be that unhappy in the muck.

It's funny you say that because that's the only instance in which I'll muck AKo preflop in full ring, and it happens pretty rarely. In 10/20 6 max it happens like never.

In this particular hand, I'm AKo also. I'm not happy capping AQo to a TAG's 3 bet.

Hm... If the TAG is in the <15% range I think I muck AQo. Super weak?
