Dell 30” Horizontal or Vertical?

For the people planning on getting the new Dell monitor I was wondering which layout would be better.

My initial thoughts were:

Horizontal: Could fit 6 full tables. When not playing, this would be a great orientation for having three browser/word-processing/spreadsheet windows open next to each other. DVD’s would look great on a wider screen.

Vertical: Could fit 8 full tables. Full screen movies would not be optimal. I think this layout would cause more eye strain and neck fatigue.

Any thoughts?

Get a mount that lets you spin it. I can spin my 2001fps on my ergotron arms, and I just confirmed that 6 fit on each at about 75% size with the beta client. This is much easier to see than the 9x9 layout, and I'll be able to do 12 tables when that feature comes out.

Its definetly horizontal, dont hurt your neck at the computer.

Horizontal, the party beta won't be beta for too long (we hope!), so that should solve the issue with number of tables.

Party beta isn't coming out of beta till they solve the crashing problem!

I am planning on using the horizontal mode. Thanks for the input.

i think if you do it Vertical, you have to have 2 of them both in Vertical side by side...
This would be the same for the 2405FPW or the 2005FPW. I have one of each of these
for my setup and I found that by having the 2405 Hor. w/the 2005 in portrait/Vertical, you get a good set-up...
(you can 3 table
on the 2005 when it's in portrait (and 1050 x1680 res.), making it useful for multi-tablers...

Is the 30 inch for sale? I can't find it on the Dell website?
