!+! Laptop Touchpad Button Stuck !+!
Well since most advice is best sought out @ the OOT and no one is replying over at the Computer Tech Help section then here goes.
Alrighty, situation is I haven't used my laptop in about a week. Today I go to use it and I find that when I try to right-click on the touchpad the button is stuck/sunk into its place. Good news is if you press for a second or two it brings up the right-click command but it is annoying me that either the button is out of place or something else is wrong. ~~Help anyone who has had same problem and have found a solution. Should I take it apart or send it in to tech support with its company and spend money? Another solution is takeing to a small computer tech center such as Best Buys Geek Squad and see if they can fix it. Any input would be much appreciated.~~ |

Re: !+! Laptop Touchpad Button Stuck !+!
FuriousOne,
If you're feeling daring you can take your laptop apart with relative ease and attempt to clean it to see if that works. Taking apart a laptop is much more of a PITA then a desktop and there are many more things to lose/break. If the fix is beyond cleaning and you still feel like doing this the cheap way you can probably find a cheap replacement touchpad/button piece on eBay and install it yourself. I would say having a computer store/ best buy fix it would cost $100-$200. gus |
