Re: A-Rod at NYC poker clubs?
When you hear on the radio that A Rod has been told by Yankee management to stop going to underground poker clubs it makes you stop and wonder.
If you do a search there have been a couple of posts - try B&M- about ARod playing low limit at a few clubs around the city. |

I wouldn't call 10/25NL low limit.

[/ QUOTE ] i have a friend and infrequent poster who saw arod at a club about a year ago. he was at the now defunct playstation. it caused such commotion that they told him not to come back for fear of publicity. |

Re: A-Rod at NYC poker clubs?
A-Rod was at Bellagio this past weekend, playing 10/20 NL on Thursday night (friends saw him) and then I caught him coming in on Saturday to play before getting sucked into Bobby's Room and having a chit-chat with and sweating Jennifer and others before leaving without playing a hand.
I'll guess they gave it a go to coax him into the game but it didn't work out. |

played vs A-Rod
i was on my way to a different game and saw A-Rod at the bellagio with an an open seat at the table. i decided it would be fun to sit in the game. he was pretty good. seems to have a sound understanding of the game. did not get out of line. did not call raises with insufficient values, seemed to try to extract the maximum on his big hands.
