Default JJ against a pf reraise

I found myself without a good plan in this hand and got into a passive check-call mode. How would you play it and why? I didn't have a good read, but my opponent seemed better and more aggressive than the average player.

I'll often limp with JJ in EP, but if I raise here I'll make it $10 to go.

I think you've got to bet more on the flop - suck it up and pot-size it. If he's got a higher pocket pair or a set, so be it, but you've got to get some idea where you are. Check/raise is also an option, but you need to be SURE that Villain's going to bet, and you don't have a read so probably not a good time for this.

A set? That's pretty unlikely.

Make it $35 on the flop, fold to a raise. Turn and river played as I would.

Yes, you're absolutely right. Starting to see them lurking around every corner, need to address this...

Default JJ against a pf reraise+ result

I was of course worried about a pp. One could say that his reraise pf served it's purpose. I was intimidated. I agree that my flop bet is too weak, it doesn't really put pressure on my opponent and I gain no information. He could have called with any pp here and perhaps with AK hoping to
steal if I shut down. However, I'm almost more concerned about the check-call on the turn. Can this really be sound play. If I'm prepared to call, shouldn't I bet instead? What do I gain by check-calling?

It turned out he had TT and I won the pot.
