Default Did I overplay or wuss out?

Hold'em FL ($2/$4) Crytos

No reads as I am new to the table and limit.

Seat 1: MP ($201.32 in chips)
Seat 2: CO ($81.75 in chips)
Seat 3: Button ($141 in chips)
Seat 4: SB ($70 in chips)
Seat 5: Hero in the BB ($99.25 in chips)
Seat 6: UTG ($55.75 in chips)

I think I would have led the flop. I learned a long time ago not to count on people betting, especially unknowns. I would have probably called the raise instead of 3-betting as well.

I also would have led the flop, you are only laying 5-1 so there is still protection in just betting out. They way you played it, I can fold this flop in an unraised pot.

after 3-betting the flop i would bet/fold the river.

the problem with your check is that it allows him to check behind with worse hands and bet with better hands.

this way, you gain no money when ahead and lose money when behind.

so yes, bet.

you were right on. he should definitely lead the flop.

the problem is now that he has way over-represented his hand and yet no one is laying down a better ace. so all his flop 3bet did was allow people to lay down worse aces and worse pairs.
