Re: Nut flush on a paired board facing strength (50$ NL on Party).
I don't know but I don't like the way you played the hand.
on the flop, bet $4 and represent the K. he has a tough time calling without a K in his hand and is likely folding a lot of underpairs. if he has lower flush draw, you earn more on earlier streets the time the flush doesnt hit. on the turn when you hit the flush, bet. 4th flush kills your action and another card paring kills you. sometimes he checks behind with a K. when you checkraise, if he is decent, hes folding anything that doesnt beat AK. so unless if you put him on lower flush, I think you are actually against a boat here if he is decent. although the possibility of 77 seems rather remote. |

For the flop I always do this "Harrington's continuation bet" unless the board is coordinated but it may not always be a good idea.
So is it a fold considering the way I played the hand ? Thank you for your comments btw. |

I don't know, its player dependent.
have you ever pulled this turn check raise at the table before? in a vaccuum its hard to answer. I know it sounds like a copout but with poker, thats just the way it is. |

It was the first time I did that on this table but Vilain was only at the table for about half an hour and I haven't noticed anything particular about him.

well I don't think either way is too bad.
I might push just because I think it gives me more insight on future hands against villain. |

Ok thank you. I actually pushed and he showed 77 for the full house.

[ QUOTE ]
Ok thank you. I actually pushed and he showed 77 for the full house. [/ QUOTE ] The thing that stinks to high heaven about this hand is the min-reraise after Hero's turn C/R. Is it -EV to fold in this spot against an unknown at $50NL? Villain seems like he really wants hero to get his chips in the middle. Most of the time we're going to see 77, Kx, or a lower flush (Th9h??) But I don't see a lower flush re-raising unless he's a known aggro, and Kx has the same problem. |

Re: Nut flush on a paired board facing strength (50$ NL on Party).
Well if he has a king you are good. It is doubtful he has K7 or K3. People love to limp in with medium pockets though. Heads up it is hard to give someone credit for having a hand that beat your nut flush. If a few people were in the pot and showing interest I would be a lot more apt to fold.

Re: Nut flush on a paired board facing strength (50$ NL on Party).
Do you think that Kx is going to min-reraise after a check raise on a 3 flushed board? I guess if they were an enormous donk, maybe, but I think that most of the time a Kx is going to just call after the check raise.
