10/20 tables are really hit and miss as compared with 5/10 where you can play at virtually any table, I often try half a dozen 10/20 tables don't find anything where I excpect my earn to exceed that of 5/10 despite the lowered stakes and return to 5/10.

Just because you decide to play a limit doesn't mean you HAVE to play it everytime you play poker.

I know it's lame to do the double-agree thing, but I think this is a concept that is so simple, yet not practiced nearly enough by even some of the best players.

My biggest one-day loss at 10/20 was 130BB and that had me quickly running back to 5/10 to regain a little bit of confidence.

I'm on a 250BB slide at 3/6 6m, and my game is probably a lot easier than yours.

Says the man who was running at like 6 BB/100 or whatever other ungodly amount you said last time I was in LA.

I just came out of a 175 BB downswing if it's any consolation to either of you (probably not).

I just came out of 2 consecutive 250 BB slides that put me break even for 20k hands. The swings in SH are brutal, but that's part of what makes it fun.

Well if you asked me a month ago during the most frustrating poker I have played (breakeven 40K) I would have said you were *crazy*, but after recovering from that and now a +400BB swing in a few days and a couple of thousand hands... this is fun

I don't think that's a terrible swing (the last one was what, 160 BBs?), and I think you are a winner at 10/20. I'm surprised this would send you down...I know you must have the BR for 10/20 (?). I've been observing those 10/20 tables and the biggest factor I think in a solid player moving up levels is increasing care in table selection. There are 10/20 tables with 3 bad players and if you get position, it's the equivalent of a normal 5/10 table - very profitable.
