How to react to turn donkbet?

Villain is LP, but aggressive post-flop.

I'm almost certain that I have the best hand on the turn. Question is, should I raise now, or call and pop his river bet?

Preflop: Hero is CO with Ad, 9h.
2 folds, UTG+2 calls, 3 folds, Hero raises, 3 folds, UTG+2 calls.

Flop: (5.50 SB) 2s, 7h, 2h (2 players)
UTG+2 checks, Hero bets, UTG+2 calls.

Turn: (3.75 BB) As (2 players)
UTG+2 bets, Hero ...

I really think that A9o is a very sub-standard hand. I'll blind steal with it obviously if it's folded to me but with limpers I'm outta there. Too tight?

If UTG+2 has a worse ace, then he has a lot of outs against you (mostly to a chop). However, it's not like raising will get him to fold, and he won't fold an ace on the river either.

If UTG+2 just picked up a spade draw and decided to try to represent the ace, then raising now will charge him more to draw. However, if Villain will fire again on the river as a bluff if he misses, then you don't really need to charge him more to draw.

If you wait until the river, then you'll be less likely to get 3-bet by a better ace (unless Villain takes the river raise personally), as Villain might worry you improved on the river or that you were slowplaying a monster.

If Villain doesn't have a flush draw and is firing with a hand like 66 and he might fold that hand if you raise, then you'd be better off just calling the turn (so long as Villain doesn't plan on check-folding the river after you call his turn bet).

Also, by waiting, you do give yourself the option of just calling on the river on some cards, such as a third spade. I don't know if that's an option you'd take against this opponent, but it is something else to think about.

On the whole, I think I like just calling the turn.

It's just one loose limper.

I think the isolation raise is okay.

if you will open raise with it on the button, will you in CO?

what about one rock limping? what about 2 loose passive limpers? what about loose blinds?

clearly, many differing situations/decisions... but to refine A9o into "if there are limper(s), i fold" is not good poker.

Is a loser from everywhere in a full ring game.

Is a winner from the Button and CO if it's folded to you.

Is marginal from late position if everyone from EP folds.

This raise is probably OK, but only because the limper is loose (and it would ceryainly help to know that the SB and BB will fold to a raise fairly often).
