Default Piling on Lee Jones

There seems to be a movement afoot in this zoo thread to ask PokerStars to start spreading some new games. (And I didn't even start it.) It might be a good idea for the rest of the OP crowd to add their two cents. The new evening SnG Multis are a direct result of that thread already.

I chimed in. I read a few posts at the start of that thread but it snowballed too quick for me to keep up with it, interesting to see it took that direction.

Thanks for the headsup.

Apparently they're running $20+2 180-player SnGs in the evenings now, because people asked for smaller tournaments since they don't have time to play the regular huge Stars MTTs. They seem to have proven quite popular.

I think this is a very smart move on Stars' part (and I think Party is doing something similar). Just speaking for myself, I play a lot of micro MTTs on Stars, but sometimes I don't want to wade through thousands of players and potentially be tied up for hours, so I will play some of my tournaments on smaller sites with smaller fields (and some different games). There must be lots of people that want to play against a few hundred players and not a few thousand. I think these will shortly be a permanent part of the Stars schedule, at least on weekends. I wonder if these will be spread below the $20 level?

this is the main reason I don't play any tournies. if you want to play one of the nightly tournaments on stars you are committing 5 hours of your time if you make it to the final table.

I played in one of these the other day. It took over four hours to finish. I am not sure if that is typical though.

I have a feeling that with all the high limit hold'em players on stars they would do well with high limit triple draw.

I'll pile on Lee Jones any day...

I'm sorry, did someone say something about poker?

the problem with adding in triple draw on stars is that stars doesn't even spread that game. the sng mtt at least is still within their capabilities without having to do much on their part. however, they'd have to program an entire new game with triple draw. i think it's too drastic of a change for them, though i hope they do.
