No read on villian here, this is his very first hand at the table.

WTF? How did the pot sizes get to be this far off?

Anyway, I'd bet the river and hope he calls with a mid pocket pair.

Seems like maybe he has a mid PP, and is now worried that you're just stringing him along. I'd say bet, because there are quite a few hands he might play that way that you could beat, and he probably won't fold for one more bet. I can't imagine he'd try a checkraise here, with how passive you've been post flop.

I fabricated the hand and forgot to change that.

Haha. Anyway, I'm betting and folding to a checkraise.

I'd reraise the flop. I think if he really had the K (or 3) he wouldn't have bet into you on the flop. Your hand is probably good. Calling the flop then raising the turn would also get my thumbs up.

But to answer the question marks... Hero bets for value.

Cool. If the flop was K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], does it change hero's line at all?

I was also misplaying this hand until recently. Check out this thread, Ed likes the call/call/call line. I'm just trying to expand on it.

Quotes don't lie, bitch.

I'm sneaking a raise in there somewhere -- often on the turn, sometimes on the river -- on the K43 board. There are many more hands he can be betting here so it's not as much of a ahead/behind binary.
