It makes no sense to cap preflop and check on a 966 flop. Button knows this (he is a TAG) and will not bet both flop and turn with nothing.

But if yor read on button isnt that perfect - which it wasnt - I would call turn with intention of calling river because not so good players do strange things all the time. Today I guy 3bet me on river with 54o and five higher cards on board.

Maybe Im saying I would call river because I know what he had. Its always tricky to say what to do when hand is misplayed like this on flop.

If the SB is bad enough to never raise a 6 or a 9 you can't call. You risk paying off the BB's overpair, but the pot is decent and his hand isn't well defined, so I tend towards calling.
