I live in a house and have my own air condition. They are only $100 these days. You tight wads.

You cant even get a little swamp cooler for $100. I dunno what you are smoking. It costs a couple grand for a decent A/C

I feel the pain of everyone in ridiculously hot areas w/o air conditioning but I am more filled with a sense of relief that this thread was not about/did not contain a picture of a shirtless man

There you go.

No AC here either, I have 2 window units for my studio apt in the garage but Im lazy. Its been a record wave this summer with a heat index of 115-120 for awhile. Plus the humidity is ridic. Id take this over 8 inches of snow any day.

8 inches of snow is nothing, we got Lake Effect snow and I use to climb up the dog kennel fence to get to the roof of the house and take a running leap into the 3-4 feet of fresh snow.

I am surprised I did not kill myself back then.

The fan isn't enough and sometimes the air conditioner isn't even enough, so I keep a few Blue Ice type thingies, but hard-sided, in my fridge, different sizes. I've got one big enough to lean my back on, and there are others fine for either holding in my hand or letting rest on my leg or chest or stomach. Putting one on my neck is a very fast way to cool down, because so much blood rushes through there so fast. This especially helps me get to sleep at night, since it lasts for hours, and the heat can otherwise wake me or make me have a very unrestful sleep.

I definitely suffer when it gets too hot. I lose all my energy and sometimes even feel nauseous. And it takes many hours to feel normal again after overheating.
