Default How bad was this laydown?

I actually timed out trying to decide if I should call or not. The more I think about it the more I think I should have called.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Hero ($102.5)
BB ($158.4)
UTG ($79.5)
MP ($18.1)
CO ($51.7)
Button ($54.9)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG folds, MP calls $1, CO folds, Button calls $1, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($4) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP checks, Button checks.

Turn: ($4) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets $3, BB folds, MP folds, Button calls $3.

River: ($10) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $15, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $25

Results in white below:
Button doesn't show.
Outcome: Button wins $25.

For my money it's an easy fold.

That looks like a bluff to me, after he realized your weakness on the river.

Easy lay down to that river bet. Why not lead on the river with a blocking bet to try and get a cheap show down and avoid a potentially difficult decision?

Do you think he filled up his boat on the river? Just seems like he would of raised on the the flop with an ace.

Stewart-Thats what I was thinking, maybe a bluff since it was a bet he might not want called. And it was strange not betting an ace on the flop.

I think its a bad laydown. Do you really think he checked the first ace on the button if he has one? And doesnt that river bet scream bluff?

FWIW, I would have bet the river - to block this move. Probably would have bet ~7.

Yup. I think you have to bet or check/call to induce a bluff.

Yeah, but he was last to act, so why not bet the flop.
Maybe a busted flush draw?
