Default Looking for Poker Room in Arizona

I'll be traveling to Arizona in a week or so for Spring Training and am looking for some info on any good poker rooms in the area of Phoenix, Mesa, or Tucson. Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

Spring training time means every player in town will be at Casino Arizona in Scottsdale. They also have the largest multi-screen display I have seen for a poker room, with amazing sports promos.

R u a player, an athletic supporter, or a news reporter?

I'm mainly a "fan", but I'm also looking for any and every opportunity to get a job with a MLB team.

Thanks for the info on Casino Arizona, I'll check out their website. Any other card rooms in the area that are decent?

Some people like Fort McDowell, but its too far to bother playing at. Besides CA is so HUGE (one of the largest rooms in the US) there is no reason to travel elsewhere.

Warning... the list gets mighty long when there is a game on TV

In Tucson, Desert Diamond casino is only about 10 minutes from Tucson Electric Park (White Sox and Diamondbacks) the games there are pretty good. Casino del Sol is about 20 minutes from there. It is a nicer casino with autoshufflers. My opinon is that there are more gambler-type players at DD, players who know what they're doing but don't make great decisions. CDS has more people who are giving poker a try.

Desert Diamond now has autoshufflers on every table. 10/20 and 15/30 going pretty regularly, and that goofy 5-150 spread infrequently.

What kind of limits do these various rooms offer? I don't have much B&M time logged, altho I've got a few thousand hours online experience. So I guess I am looking for like a 3/6 game or something in that range.

If you are looking to play 3/6, I would highly recommend going to Fort McDowell in favor of Casino AZ. The Fort is just an additional 15 or so minutes further than Casino AZ, and the lower rake, friendlier service, and better promos/comps make it a much better choice for low limit players.

The Fort offers 3/6 through 6/12, Casino AZ offers the higher limits as well.
