Any reason not to use AIM?
Hey.
What problems (if any) am I likey to encounter using AIM with current WIndows service pack (updated daily) and Norton Antivirus? Thanks. |

None springs to mind, this configuration is probably on over 100 million PCs. What type of problems did you anticipate?

You don't need to use AIM because there is IRC. It is instant enough right?

the program itself is a bit bloated, it won't cause any problems, but will probably add AOL links and [censored] everywhere as well as pipe ads into the client.
Get an alternatve client and you will be in good shape... PS. is any girl worth this? |

If you use a mac Adium is amazing..but since most ppl don't find DeadAIM or trillian for alternatives. They have tabbed messaging and other cool features.

I actually prefer Trillian over AIM even though I am not using multiple chat programs.

i don't think trillian is that great either, i'd try gaim (google it)
