I raise KK UTG. Button calls, he's a guy, doesn't seem horrible, doesn't seem awesome, I don't recall the numbers but I didn't think he was good, I didn't think he was a fish.

Blinds fold

Flop is Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] x J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (I do not have K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img])

I bet, he calls.

Turn is the T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet, he calls

River is the K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I ???????

I have a hard time not check folding here, but bet/fold is better?

Bet-fold. 2pair will call. A straight might not raise b/c of the clubs.

with four clubs showing there is actually less than a 50/50 shot he has a club.

My thought- which wasn't much more than just a thought- was that I would have heard from two pair by now and that there's no way a straight is folding. I'm not saying this is right, but it's the mindset inwhich I played the hand.

I like bet/fold, simply because you have a decent chance of folding a hand that beats you, like a straight.

I don't think check calling is very good, but I like it better than check/folding.

huh? Bet-fold cost 1 bet without seeing a showdown. check call will cost one bet while seeing a showdown plus give your opponent a chance to bet a worse hand

I think you're off on both counts. You won't necessarily have heard from two pair yet on a board like that, and I do think Ax folds their straight here sometimes with no clubs.

Easy check/call, IMO. (I don't really see what the issue is).

I think your fold equity is too high and your hand strength too low to check call. Remember, any ace beats you. You're giving tons of Ax no club hands a free showdown.
