J9s blindwar turn 3-bet
Let's say the villain is a typical 10/20 player.
Who likes this turn 3-bet? Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 4 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero raises, BB calls. Flop: (4 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, BB calls. Turn: (3 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls. River: (9 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls. Final Pot: 15 BB I think I like it, but another person I talked to didn't like it. I figured it was a value raise, because villain could be raising with both worse hands, semi-bluffs and complete bluffs, and I also have a draw to the flush and most likely 5 clean 9 and J outs. |

Re: J9s blindwar turn 3-bet
Hmm. . .maybe you should not put in the river action.
Anyway, I think it's OK - I liked it a lot at first, now I sorta like it a little. You have a ton of outs if you're behind, and you're right that it could easily be a value raise. Still, "typical" 10/20 players probably have you beat a decent amount here with a K. A "typical 10/20 donk" on the other hand, great 3-bet. |
