Splitting aces and losing, man you suck!

p.s. I assume you've done all the BJ bonuses? that game is so boring!

shaniac,

Yes, but make sure you are using the right chart - he has charts for different numbers of decks/rules/etc.

Having said that, I never surrender, 'cause that's just WEAK.

What are your thoughts on insurance?

Mike,

Insurance is -EV, so I don't take it for that reason. However, if it were +EV, I wouldn't take it because it is WEAK.

All,

It astounds me how many of you don't understand how fun blackjack is. It's honestly hard to imagine how anyone could become a top poker player without understanding how fun blackjack is. Now, one can be a top poker player and choose not to play blackjack because it is stupid. That is cool. But to not think it is fun and exciting is weird.

The only thing that astounds me more than that is that NLfool plays a lot of BJ and does not even know the most fundamental elements of basic strategy. That is weird.

This is a great point. I played once online last year winning a grand or two due to Homer and his suggestions and I thought damn this is fun as hell.

I just don't play because I don't like -ev games.

WTF - There are people who play poker, but don't play BJ? These guys will never reach the highest levels. Enjoy the plateau, nits.
