Default Anyone call this cocky guy?

Hey All,
I think that this would be a terrible call, but, I'm not completely sure.
Whatdya think?
BTW, I thought his "nice bet" remark was sort of funny.

Push pre-flop or fold, not sure which one is right(I think push pre-flop), raising/folding too all in is terrible though.

I'm sure he taught you a lesson. I don't even wanna bother to think about what odds you are getting and just how short stacked shorty is. Just push preflop.

Villian is an evil genius if he said 'nice bet' and pushed with trash.

Push pre-flop. That min-raise is just inviting the big stack to come over the top of you. Given the action, I would call the push.

Yeh, I realize I just donated to his stack. The problem was that shorty is so short, and I didn't want to bust in 4th.
I don't know if my stategy of waiting for shorty to bust is good, or weak, or what. Hmmmm. Enlighten me.

Step 1: Push preflop

Step 2: Learn how to play SNG's.

Do you know ICM? If not, take a look at the FAQ. Run this through and see what your equity is if you lose all your chips vs. double up vs. fold.

The reason people are telling you to push is that it's very difficult to correctly call someone in this situation because if you lose you get nothing, but if you win, you don't improve your overall equity enough to compensate for the risk you are taking. If you go all-in, you put him in the quandry he's putting you in.

What makes the call hard is specifically that there are four people left, and one of the four has a small stack. What you want to have happen, in order, are:

1)Two other people go at each other.
2)You win a confrontation without a showdown.
3)You are called and win a confrontation.

Pushing gives you the best chance of not being called. So if you have to get involved, push.

AK is such a strong hand, you might be able to get away with calling here, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if calling is a negative expectation play here. Go through the ICM and find out! The FAQ will explain how, and understanding these concepts is crucial.
