the fact that you are the only person to mention these albums is sad. I'd also like to add, Allman Bros Brothers&Sisters, Exptrapolations, Animals(and there are people claiming to be floyd fans), any YES album between 70-78, Abraxas, man, there's so much good [censored] from the 70s and people tried saying that it was bad because of disco in the worst musical decade poll, please(there's good disco too people, but most of it was pretty crappy)

Everybody else is listing a bunch, I better represent the prog. Somebody second some of these, so they can lose first round to inferior albums...

Van der Graaf Generator - The Least We Can Do is Wave to Each Other
Emerson, Lake, & Palmer - Tarkus
Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds of Fire
King Crimson - Red
Yes - Tales from Topographic Oceans
Genesis - Selling England by the Pound
Triumvirat - Illusions on a Double Dimple
Rush - 2112

I'm rather partial to Trilogy, but yeah, they're all classics.

The Yes Album deserves to be nominated too.

I guess I'm not the only 40-something in this forum!

Edit: And oh yeah, how could I forget Fragile. That's probably the definitive Yes.

I'm 25 and a big YES fan, had to just listen to the radio on the way back from a phish show and through several states there were different radio stations that played a bunch of YES, I became a fan cause they pretty much kicked ass and I wasn't really all that familiar with them before

It is real close... Karn Evil 9 is an incredible song, especially the third impression; amazing keys from the greatest keyboardist to ever live.
