Default Am I seeing to many flops?

Hi,

Need some advice.

Here are my stats for 151 hands. I usually play 0.05 to 0.10 limit 9 seat.

Floop seen 55%

Percent of Action after seeing the flop
Fold 27%
Check 29%
Call 25%
Raise 7%
Re Raise 2%

What would you read into this, I feel that im playing fewer hands than others at the table, and I don’t seem to win much nor loose much.

Thanks
Fairman

Hi.
55 % is way too high.

Try get it down to around 20 % and you should have a better winrate. Obviously your postflop play plays a bigger part though. Either way 55 % is too high.

It's indeed way too high. When you get your flop% down to =/- 20% you should also be more agressive then you are now.

This might happen just because your playing better hands but if it doesn't you really have to work at value betting your good hands.

(In English, called/checked a too high % of hands in relation to the % of hands you've raised/reraised)

Well, 150 hands is a tiny sample, but even so, you should be seeing half to a third the number of flops you've seen to this point. How do you decide what hands to play?

Thanks for that. I shall tighten down.

But I also feel that when I do get a good hand I dont get enough players to stay around and feels like im not getting enough out my winning hands.

Perhaps next time when I get the nuts and dont get enough BB out of it I should post the hand and get some advice.

Cheers
Fairman.

Post hands. there are many circumstance when getting the nuts guarantees you make very little. Remember - you win your biggest pots with hands that are only slightly better than your opponents' hands.

Without seeing some hands, it's hard to know, but you also have to consider that by tightening up, you're going to be saving a lot of small bets pre-flop on hands that have little chance to win. That by itself should raise your win rate considerably.

Check the Beginner FAQ for a list of resources to help you improve your play.

Also, get SSHE by Miller, and Weighing the Odds by Yao. Both have starting hand guides that will get you on the right track as far as what you should be playing. Don't recommend getting too tied to these charts in the long run because so much of the game is dependent on the types of players that are at the table you're playing.

I have poker tracker with pokeraceHUD. Generally I start out pretty close to SSHE and WtO starting hand guides until I have reads on the other players. From there I adjust my starting hand requirements.
