not sure if this is the right forum, but....
I'm pretty new to poker (and to this site obviously), and I wasn't sure if I should post this here or the micro-limits forum, since I'm playing micro NL for now ;P hope this question isn't too broad to answer:
if I'm limping in with a pp and flop bottom set on a suited board, would it be better to bet and hope nobody flopped the flush or check/call and try to slow-play for a boat?

This is the right forum, but you're going to have to ask a much more specific question if you want any (useful) answers.
Perhaps write up a few example hands so you can see what factors people consider in these situations.

Hm, well I can't find any good examples in my hand history right now but I'll try and add some more hypothetical details, hopefully it will be enough to get a good answer:
assume full ring game 3-4 limpers (including myself) no pf raising as for position what to do when I'm... 1. first to act after the flop 2. a) checked to in MP between 2 players b) min bet to in MP between 2 players c) pot-sized bet to " " 3. a) checked to by 2 players in LP b) bet to in LP, the other player calling c) " ", the other player folding d) " ", the other player raising lol that's probably a pain in the ass to read, but this has been bugging me and I have no hand history for this at the moment. If even half the questions get answered I'll be happy. Or if you still need more details let me know

bet to protect against the flush....hope the board pairs and then the flush comes in.

bet pot...don't look weak. Remember, everyone else who sees this board and doesn't have the flush or the A of that suit is like "oh crap". If you're going to prolly call a bet about the size of the pot i say bet it and let someone else decide if you're trying to take the pot down with a baby flush...

on the same note; what do you bet if the pot is small, something like only 2 or 3 dollars? Still pot it or double the pot? I usually go high if the pot is low; is that a decent line or am i probably leaking money by being too agressive?

I don't like overbetting the pot in this situation...I generally never overbet the pot. If you overbet, only flushes will call you most likely, and not hands you bet. Just bet the pot on the flop, and then again on the turn, assuming another of the flush cards doesn't hit.
