Default The Gap Concept...

...and how it applies differently to cash games/tournaments. Thoughts? Comments? on the application of this concept and how different approaches may be taken towards tournament play and cash games.

Default Re: The Gap Concept...

For me, I believe the Gap concept is more prevelant when the stacks ARE NOT deep. With deep stacks (either cash games or tourneys) I play with less of the gap concept in mind. In other words, I will call a 3 times the Big blind bet from EP with a hand like KQ suited in LP if the stacks are deep. If they arent deep, I feel like the gap concept applies and I need to muck (this of course is a generalization just to make a point, reads and such are important too)

make sense?

thats how I feel about it
